Close-ratio, helical-cut rod-change transmission, with the benefit of an overdrive 5th gear for highway cruising. The overdrive gear gives an effective final ratio of 3.037 in 5th gear, while 1st through 4th provide the normal acceleration of a 3.44 ratio. Fitted with a heavy- duty cross pin differential. Fully assembled (less speedo drive gears, otherwise ready to install). Suitable for 1275cc-1380, but not recommended for turbo application. Use of a quick-shift kit not recommended.
