Classic Mini inner steering columns are prone to wear at the splines on the lower end, which can be very dangerous; the splines and threads at the top can become stripped or damaged. This column fits 1976-1996 classic Minis, and is slotted for steering column lock; not for use with steering wheels equipped with air bag. Ref: FAM5285, FAM5285MS.
