The Mk3 classic Mini saw the introduction of winding windows so the door panels changed in this year to include the holes for the winder and lock mechanism. Visually, the panels also used a new weld pattern design, which Newton Commercial has recreated.
A new smoother more open grained material was also used on the MKIII models, known as 1290 grain which Newton has available in some of the original colours such as Navy, Black or Autumn Leaf. Other colours are available in the deeper grained vinyl used on the earlier Minis.
