This kit includes the 36-tooth damper and the bracket and sensor for a crank-fire ignition system of your choice (sold separately). The damper pulley has a 4" diameter V belt groove on the back so no extra components need to be bolted on to the crank nose. Long front bolt and locating washer are included. Each damper is precision CNC-manufactured and dynamically balanced. Special order; lead time required.
The KAD viscous crankshaft vibration damper uses silicon fluid inside a specially machined and balanced casing. The 6.5 pound viscous damper works over a wide rev range and effectively damps a wider range of frequencies. Due to the way the silicon fluid operates, it is able to tune itself to any instance of torsional vibration which may develop; thus, the engine will run smoothly and power impulses work in phase with the crank rotation and not against it. Engine bearings will last longer, cam drives run quieter and cam timing is achieved with greater accuracy. The engine gains from increased performance and greater reliability.
Important Installation Instruction: Crank bolt needs to be tightened to 130 ft lbs, and repeated 3 times
