This is the large Mini CV joint, as used on Mini Cooper S and 8.4" disc brake cars. Made by well known manufacturer SKF. This is our highest quality CV joint, with precision machining and heat treating. Includes boot, grease and a locking clip.
Tech Note: During installation of CV joints and disc brakes in our shop, before beginning the work, we routinely check the fit of the hub bearings (wheel bearings) to the CV joint. Normally, the GCV1013 or GCV1013-SKF CV joint is used with taper roller bearings. Make sure the inner races of the bearings in either set will slide readily down the shaft of the CV joint, and will make full contact with the flat machined shoulder of the joint. The bearing should not require undue force to move it over the full length of the CV joint shaft, and it must contact the shoulder with no gap.
